About Us

Warner's Athletic Construction Company began in 1998 by Ronald K "Lou" Warner. Mr. Warner always had the vision that WAC would conduct business in a fair and equitable manner, using the adage that the customer comes first. He has adhered to that method of business and has instilled that message to all the employees of WAC through the years.

It is due to this work ethic, that Warner's Athletic Construction Company has become one of the most respected firms in the sports field construction and renovation business.

In 2006, Joe Baron joined WAC as a Partner and has perpetuated the methodology of fair business practices and has helped the Company expand to include a variety of new services beyond the scope of athletic field renovation and construction.

WAC has continued to grow and now not only provides new athletic field construction and renovation , but provides accessories of all types to the sporting goods buyer at the professional, college, high school, and parks and recreation department level. WAC now provides full athletic field maintenance, turf care, large ticket accessories such as bleachers and lighting packages, netting, sports field padding, gymnasium padding and floor covering, and any other accessory item which a coach, athletic director, or park and recreation department head needs. Please see the accessories catalog on this website to meet your needs.

Warner's Athletic Construction Company is now a licensed contractor with the state of Tennessee, with reciprocal contractor license agreements with Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, and Kentucky.

WAC now calls its home at its new headquarters building with 5000 square feet of warehouse space, and 1250 square feet of office space with nearly 2 acres of land in Smyrna, Tennessee.

As Warner's Athletic Construction has continued to grow and service its customers, there are two senior staff members with turf maintenance degrees. Kyle Sherman holds his degree from the University of Tennessee and prior to joining WAC was the Head Groundskeeper with the Winston Salem Warthogs, a minor league baseball team in North Carolina. In 2009, Jon Mitchell joined WAC. Jon holds a degree from Auburn University in Montgomery and a Turf Management Degree from Penn State University. Jon came to Warner's Athletic Construction from Faulkner University in Montgomery, AL where he was assistant baseball coach.

Please feel free to give anyone at WAC a call to service your needs.
